BV4 for Edinburgh participants at Stanhope Bothy, 23rd-25th Feb 2007  

   We didn't get off to a great start, thinking of ways of getting into stores!

                                    But we got there in the end - cold and hungry.

              Thanks to Johnny and Steve for lighting the fire and getting dinner on.

Just time to create and sign a contract before trying to squeeze as many lads into the 2 rooms as possible, whilst the ladies all got beds, 2 sleeping bags and a personal fire.

                                                  Saturday morning - its all fun and games...

                                            There may be dragons in these hills.

  And human's tied in knots....                       ..and "Nelly the Elephant!!!"    

        But bothy life went on..                                     with the VS boy band of the year!

Tranquil

Peaceful

The hills are peaceful

Beautiful, chaotic scenery

Quietness

Cold, freezing bitten with midges

Five oaks near the river

Strange place

Peaceful sound of the burn

Pines twisting towards the light

Peaceful

Mushy mud

Human impact

Two noisy planes

Human influence ever present

Feathery pines

 The van gets stuck in the mud. And we finish the weekend with a pair of ballet dancing volunteers!
