Long Bothy Venture for Edinburgh COPE participants, Glen Etive
Very unfortunately the digital camera had a little accident and was not up
to recording the trip for posterity. So you'll have to wait a wee while for trip
photos to be developed from the throwaway one.
In the meantime, heres some choice photos of the staff team 'recce' of the canoe trip.

What Happened?
We christened the fleet of canoes 'The Groove Armada', and set off from Taynuillt in five
boats and nine people. Sarah and Doc provided the shuttle and holed up in a local hotel for the night whilst our intrepid adventurers camped under a canopy of stars surrounded by the
stillness of the the loch and the bellowing of stags.
On the second day, we paddled from Ardmaddy bay to the bothy, stopping at the loch head
at the end of the day for some canoe gymnastics and some tuition. On arrival at the bothy,
we set up for the week and had a well earned rest in the evening.
Day three, after a game of 'Alien Sex' (Thanks Doc), we started fencing the tree nursery as
well as taking part in sessions on communication.
Day four we contined fencing, collected seaweed from the loch and weeded some of the tree
nursery beds and had a session on stress management. The day ended with rafting the
canoes up and paddling them across the loch.
Day five was a blur of a day, with the kit being packed up and many stories being told at the
final review. Many thanks to all who took part in this very enjoyable trip.
Special thanks to Marky Mark for his endless pirate jokes,
Arrr-right,
