The Journey: Programme Dates
Venture Scotland is now running a new 12 month programme of personal development and volunteering for young people called 'The Journey'. The different stages of the course are as follows:
CHALLENGE (Stage One): The first stage of the Journey is an intensive 5-day experience that will challenge young people to step out of their comfort zone by completing two activity days and a weekend residential in the Borders. This stage will be repeated regularly so that young people have lots of different chances to start off the programme.
ADVENTURE (Stage Two): Young people will complete two 5-day wilderness residentials and a programme of regular personal development activities that inspire them to discover new skills and establish a healthy routine.
LEADERSHIP (Stage Three): Young people will take the lead in organising two brilliant expeditions and a presentation evening when they will receive the different awards they have been working towards.
COMMUNITY (Stage Four): During the final stage of the Journey, young people will get involved in volunteering for Venture Scotland over a 6 month period. At the same time we will offer support for them to pursue education, employment and training opportunities.
See below for all upcoming programme dates.
