Working Parties and Socials 2010

For regenerating place, reaffirming our self reliance and a heap of fun.

Join the team in 2010 for creating a permacultural paradise.

Dates, tasks and general information for conservation volunteering is detailed below:

 

     

 

    

 

 

Fri 17th - Sun 19th September, Working Party, Kinlochetive.

The new Conservation trailer will be put through its paces this weekend with  moving the remaining logs from forest to howff.

Participate in the garden taking shape by joining Iain.  He'll be overhauling and building new raised beds. 

Michael requests two savvy volunteers for undertaking a survey of potential new deer fence enclosures.

Please note that there will be large amounts of cake and craic this weekend.

Fri 15th - Sun 17th October 2010, Working Party, Kinlochetive Bothy.

Big and bold bothy bed making continue this weekend with paths in nursery and raised growing areas being made by you incredible enthusiastic conservation heroes and heroines.

Join Caff in building a propagation area next to south facing wall for all the baby plants.

We will also herald the arrival of new shrubs and garden trees and say goodbye to old trees as they graduate from the nursery to the Etive slopes.

For any aspiring wood workers there is opportunity to fix the stile and replace the strainer post in regeneration area.

Fri 26th - Sun 28th November, Working Party, Kinlochetive Bothy.

A big rewarding weekend with consolidating all the hard work in the garden and nursery. 

The roof will also get a lick of tar to keep those winter storms at bay.

Fri 3rd - Sun 5th December, CTL review/planning session and Working party, Kinlochetive Bothy.

We will be putting the Christmas tree up this weekend hopefully with some LED lights.

Patting yourself on the back, dust yourself off and plan our modus operandi for 2011.... which promises to be a very exciting year.
