Caff MCCluskey explains the building blocks of making soil and takes us through composting and vermiculture.

    

Practical sessions were also held in planting seed, transplanting fruit bushes and weeding.

            

Indoor sessions (not pictured) were also held on green manures, mulching and the principles of 'No-dig" gardening.

 

The group also looked at the application of these skills in delivering sessions up at Kinlochetive bothy.  Thank you to all the attendees for their ongoing commitment.  we hope to repeat this training for other volunteers later in the year.
