Venture Scotland - Welcome !

Venture Scotland runs a challenging, outdoor based, personal development programme open to young

people (aged 16-30) who want to make positive, lasting changes in their lives.

Our motto is ‘a step in the right direction’ and through our programme young people can work to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to overcome personal barriers in their lives and take steps towards fulfilling their potential.

Our main programme lasts six months and has three main strands;

Adventure activities; including; canoeing, rock climbing, high ropes courses, hill and gorge walking and expeditions.

Environmental Awareness and Conservation; The discovery and exploration of some of Scotland’s wild places and conservation activities in a variety of urban and rural settings.

Personal Development; Supporting young people on a on a one to one basis to review progress and make plans to meet their own personal goals.

Where do we operate from ?

Venture Scotland has bases in Edinburgh and Glasgow and runs regular day and evening sessions from there. We also run three and five day residentials which take place in the Scottish wilderness, using Bothies ( mountain huts ) in the Highlands and Borders as bases.

Venture Scotland operates with a small permanent staff team suported by a large volunteer workforce.
