Venture Scotland Makes Ye Laff
Venture Scotland is putting on a fundraising event entitled “Venture Scotland Makes Ye Laff” to raise £1000 of critical funds to help change the lives of our socially excluded young people.
“Venture Scotland Makes Ye laff” will take place at “The Voodoo Rooms” at 7.30pm on 29th September 2010. Stand up comics from around Scotland will donate their time for the evening.

Acts include,
- Jojo Sutherland who performs in major comedy clubs across the UK where she is in as much demand for her compere abilities as she is for her comedy routine. The charismatic victim of channel 4’s wife swap will be our compere for the night.

- Ed Whitely – With 5 years comedy experience and a regular at the Stand in Edinburgh and Glasgow this act comes with everything – even a trombone!

- Jamie Griffin – Geek chic is in and Jamie has just reached the heights of cool.

- Jonny Brick – An intelligent new comedian who brings an educated twist to everyday life.

And last, but certainly not least...
- Vladimir McTavish - our headline act is making his fourteenth visit to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2010, where he headlined at the sell-out Best of Scottish Comedy , as well as creating a critical and box-office success in his own solo show “Whisky: An Idiot’s Guide”.
Vladimir McTavish was a regular performer on BBC Scotland’s BAFTA-nominated comedy series Live Floor Show. He previously starred in the Channel 5 show Club Class, was a guest on the ITV comedy football quiz show We’re On Our Way to Wembley and featured in the BBC stand-up programme The Empire Laughs Back. He has a long list of radio credits to his name, most recently No Going Back (Radio Scotland), Swots (BBC 7), Jo Caulfield Won’t Shut Up! (Radio 4) My Stand-Up is Bigger than Your Stand-Up (Radio 4) Inverceleb and The Lost Archive (Radio Scotland). He also presented this year’s Edinburgh Fringe edition of the Radio Scotland Comedy Zone.

Tickets can be purchased via www.thebooth.co.uk (search Venture Scotland) and cost £12.50 for adults (16+), £10 for concessions (student, OAP, current Venture Scotland Volunteer, disabled and under 16’s). We have an early bird saving of 25% off adult tickets available until 31st of August.
This Event is still in need of a £200 sponsorship so please get in touch if you would like to contribute some money in exchange for some advertising on the night.
