What's New?
Volunteer Training 2011-2012
Venture Scotland normally runs two training weekends for new Venture volunteers (volunteering on our core Programme with young people) each year. The training weekends, held at our Bothy in Glen Etive, cover what we consider to be the pre requisite skills and knowledge training for volunteers joining us to work with the young people on our Journey programme.
Our next planned Volunteer Training weekend will be held in November 2011:
Volunteer Training Weekend, Glen Etive, 4th-6th November 2011
Another opportunity for new volunteers to join Venture Scotland's team, the training weekend will take place at our amazing Bothy in Glen Etive! You'll find out everything you need to know about volunteering with us, VS' approach and rationale, why we do things the way we do and the young people we work with.
We are now accepting applications from new Venture volunteers with a view to joining the training weekend in November. In the meantime for a chat about volunteering with Venture Scotland or to register your interest and request an application form, please contact Ray Gibson on 01415528173 or by email.
We have an ongoing need for NGB qualified volunteers to help deliver some of the activites in our Programmes - if you are a Mountain Leader, Level 3 Open Canoe Coach or hold the Single Pitch Award please get in touch to discuss opportunities to get involved in leading activities on activity days or trips with us.
